Race Scoring

CLSA series are scored with the Low Point System (Racing Rules of Sailing, Appendix A): your finishing place is your score — 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2, and so on — and the lowest total wins the series. A boat that doesn't get a clean finish is scored as if she finished one place behind every boat entered in the series. With enough races sailed, each boat throws out her worst score (or two), so one bad day doesn't sink a season.

DNC didn't come to the start area DNS came out, didn't start OCS over the line early, didn't return DNF started, didn't finish RET retired DSQ disqualified DNE disqualified, not excludable — can't be thrown out

Ties: if two boats end level on points, line up each boat's scores from best to worst and compare — first boat with a better score wins the tie. Still level? The boat that beat the other in the last race takes it.

Enter each boat's finishing place per race, or a code (DNF, DNS, DSQ…). Throwouts and ties are handled automatically. Everything saves in your browser. Racing several classes at once? Give each boat a fleet in its Fleet column — every fleet is placed and scored separately, in one grid.
